Ellison outlined how AI could revolutionize cancer detection, treatment, and vaccine development, offering unprecedented advancements in medicine.

Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison recently shared his vision for the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare during a meeting at the White House.

The event also featured SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Ellison outlined how AI could revolutionize cancer detection, treatment, and vaccine development, offering unprecedented advancements in medicine.

Ellison explained that tumor fragments, which can circulate in the bloodstream, present a unique opportunity for early cancer detection through blood tests.

AI algorithms could analyze these tests, enabling early diagnosis. Once a tumor is detected and gene-sequenced, AI could facilitate the development of personalized vaccines for each patient.

Ellison noted that mRNA vaccines could be manufactured robotically within just 48 hours, offering rapid and tailored treatment.

Highlighting the incredible potential of AI in cancer care, Ellison expressed optimism about a future where early detection and personalized treatments become a reality within two days.

$500 Bn AI Infrastructure Investment Announced

At the same meeting, former US President Donald Trump announced a private sector investment of up to $500 billion aimed at building infrastructure for AI technology. The joint venture, named Stargate, involves OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle.

According to Trump, the partnership will fund the construction of data centers, creating more than 100,000 jobs across the United States.

The companies, along with other equity backers, have committed an initial $100 billion for immediate use, with the remaining funds to be deployed over the next four years.

Ellison revealed that 20 data centers, each spanning half a million square feet, are under construction in Texas.

These centers will power AI applications, including tools to analyze electronic health records and improve patient care.

The Stargate project underscores the growing importance of AI in healthcare and highlights the collaborative efforts driving advancements in the field.
