KIMS Hospitals Launches 300-Bed Multispecialty Facility in Thane, Mumbai

KIMS Hospitals Thane will offer tertiary and quaternary care across more than 50 medical specialties.

Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospitals has inaugurated a new 300-bed multispecialty hospital in Thane, Mumbai, marking a significant milestone as the group celebrates 25 years of operations.

Situated in Hiranandani Estate on Ghodbundar Road, the new facility is aimed at serving patients from Mumbai and the broader western region of India.

Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of KIMS Hospitals, stated, “As we celebrate 25 years of providing medical advancement and services, the opening of our Mumbai facility begins another journey for KIMS as it connects advanced healthcare to the people of Maharashtra.”

Advanced Technology & Specialized Services

The Thane hospital is equipped with cutting-edge medical technologies, including the Da Vinci XI Robotic Surgery System, Orthopaedic Joint Replacement Robot, 128-slice CT Scanner, 3 Tesla MRI, PET-CT, Versa HD Radiotherapy, and Flexitron Brachytherapy. 

The facility also features nuclear medicine infrastructure and a dedicated Organ Transplant Program to handle complex procedures.

KIMS Hospitals Thane will offer tertiary and quaternary care across more than 50 medical specialties. 

Core departments include Cardiac Sciences, Oncological Sciences, Neuro Sciences, Gastro Sciences, Orthopaedics, Spine Surgery, Renal Sciences, Emergency Medicine, and Critical Care.

Specialized units will cater to Pediatrics and Neonatology with dedicated NICU and PICU services. The hospital will also provide care in high-risk obstetrics, Pediatric Neurology, Robotic Urological procedures, and Deep Brain Stimulation.

KIMS Hospitals currently leads several major healthcare initiatives, including India’s largest solid organ transplant program, South Asia’s largest joint replacement program, and a wide-reaching Heart and Lung transplant network. 

With the launch of its Thane facility, KIMS aims to expand its presence further in Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Kerala.
