Molbio Diagnostics Partners With UE LifeSciences to Expand iBreastExam Access Globally

The collaboration seeks to improve early breast cancer detection in regions where late diagnosis remains a significant cause of preventable mortality.

Molbio Diagnostics has entered a partnership with Philadelphia-based UE LifeSciences to expand access to the iBreastExam technology across more than 50 countries, including India, Africa, the Middle East, CIS nations, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

The collaboration seeks to improve early breast cancer detection in regions where late diagnosis remains a significant cause of preventable mortality.

Under this initiative, Molbio will utilize its global distribution network to market and distribute UE LifeSciences’ FDA-cleared iBreastExam device to both public and private healthcare providers. The portable, battery-operated device enables point-of-care breast examinations in primary healthcare settings and large-scale public health campaigns. Using advanced sensors, it identifies breast lumps within minutes without causing pain or exposing patients to radiation. Additionally, secure cloud-based data storage facilitates follow-up and timely diagnosis.

Mihir Shah, Founder and CEO of UE LifeSciences, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “Our collaboration with Molbio Diagnostics is an important step towards improving access to early breast health screening, particularly in areas where access to screening remains a challenge. Molbio’s experienced team and market reach can help amplify our mission to transform women’s health and save lives through accessible and innovative early detection.”

Breast cancer continues to be the leading cancer among women worldwide and contributes significantly to cancer-related deaths. By broadening the availability of iBreastExam, Molbio and UE LifeSciences aim to address gaps in screening and provide communities with life-saving diagnostics.
