MedVital Raises INR 8.4 Cr to Advance Skin Repair Technologies in India

The startup focuses on developing accessible, clinically effective solutions for complex wounds and minimally invasive aesthetics.

MedVital, an Indian medtech startup specializing in skin repair and wound management, has secured INR 8.4 crore in a pre-seed funding round.

The investment was led by Nihar Parikh’s 4point0 Health Ventures, with contributions from prominent operator-investors including founders of Tata 1mg, NephroPlus, SafeExpress, Eye Q Hospital, Hexa Health, and AstroTalk.

The capital will support MedVital’s expansion of its product portfolio, enhancement of supply chains, and extension of its distribution network to tertiary care hospitals, rural clinics, and home-care settings. The startup focuses on developing accessible, clinically effective solutions for complex wounds and minimally invasive aesthetics.

Commenting on the development, Dr. Varun Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of MedVital, said, “MedVital was founded on the belief that skin repair and restoration deserve the same level of innovation and investment as any other critical area of medicine. We are building a full-stack platform that integrates clinically proven devices, intelligent monitoring, and next-generation biomaterials to transform how complex wounds are treated and how patients recover.”

Focus on Innovation in Skin Repair and Wound Management

MedVital’s flagship product, NoWound, is a digitally enabled Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) device designed for precise wound healing in hospitals, clinics, and home care.

Unlike conventional NPWT systems, NoWound is compact, made in India, and suitable for deployment in resource-limited environments.

The startup plans to introduce liquid chitosan-based dressings for hard-to-heal wounds and expand into dermal and hair regeneration, enabling new therapeutic and aesthetic treatment options.

Nihar Parikh, Founder of 4point0 Health Ventures, commented, “MedVital’s strategic approach to hard-to-heal wound management and minimally invasive treatments positions them uniquely in the healthcare landscape. Their focus on improving accessibility of high-quality science backed with measurable clinical outcomes addresses exactly what the market demands.”
