Mayo Clinic Unveils Platform_Insights to Support Global Healthcare AI Adoption
The initiative aims to address the growing digital divide among providers as artificial intelligence (AI) continues to advance rapidly across the healthcare landscape.
Mayo Clinic has announced the launch of Mayo Clinic Platform_Insights, a new program designed to give healthcare organizations worldwide access to the institution’s digital expertise, data insights, and clinical knowledge.
The initiative aims to address the growing digital divide among providers as artificial intelligence (AI) continues to advance rapidly across the healthcare landscape.
According to the organization, the program offers an affordable, guided framework for healthcare systems to navigate AI adoption and apply data-driven solutions to key operational and clinical challenges. It combines Mayo Clinic’s established best practices with its expertise in data analytics and technology-driven healthcare.
“When we share knowledge, we make better decisions — both in diagnosis and treatment,” said Maneesh Goyal, Chief Operating Officer, Mayo Clinic Platform. “This new program allows us to extend the reach and expertise of leading healthcare organizations within our digital ecosystem to help others perform better and improve patient outcomes everywhere.”
The Platform_Insights initiative builds on Mayo Clinic’s existing data capabilities through Mayo Clinic Platform_Connect, a global health data network that underpins the program’s AI-driven solutions. This network currently contains 26 petabytes of clinical information, including over 3 billion laboratory tests, 1.6 billion clinical notes, and 6 billion medical images covering hundreds of complex diseases.
Highlighting the collaborative advantage, Goyal added, “When organizations partner with us, they gain access to proven clinical and administrative solutions and the technical framework to integrate them seamlessly.”
Through Platform_Insights, Mayo Clinic aims to extend access to trusted, data-based clinical innovation, enabling healthcare organizations of varying scales to better utilize AI technologies in patient care and operational improvement.
