Max Healthcare Partners With Google to Enable Direct Hospital Appointment Bookings
The move is aimed at simplifying the patient booking journey and improving access to verified healthcare information.
Max Healthcare has partnered with Google to introduce a direct hospital appointment booking feature, allowing patients to schedule consultations through Google Search and Google Maps, the hospital network said on Tuesday.
The move is aimed at simplifying the patient booking journey and improving access to verified healthcare information.
As part of the collaboration, users searching for Max Hospitals, individual doctors, or medical specialties on Google will now see a “Book Online” option. Clicking the option redirects users to Max Healthcare’s official appointment booking platform, reducing the number of steps typically involved in scheduling a hospital visit.
The feature is enabled through Google’s Appointments Redirect capability, which allows healthcare providers to route users directly from Google platforms to their authenticated booking systems. Max Healthcare said this approach helps ensure patients reach official channels rather than third-party or unverified sources while searching for care.
According to the hospital network, the authenticated redirection is designed to improve patient trust by offering accurate, updated, and verified information at the point of search. A significant share of patients begin their healthcare journey online, making search platforms a key entry point for accessing care.
“A large number of patients begin their healthcare journey through a search on Google. Our goal is to make the journey from search to appointment as simple as possible,” said Anas Abdul Wajid, Senior Director and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Max Healthcare. He noted that the initiative is aligned with the organization’s broader digital initiatives focused on streamlining access and improving operational efficiency.
The direct booking integration will be rolled out across all Max Healthcare facilities, providing uniform access for patients regardless of location. Users searching on Google Maps will also be able to view hospital listings and proceed directly to appointment scheduling from the platform.
The company said the collaboration is part of ongoing efforts to improve patient experience by reducing friction in appointment discovery and scheduling. By integrating booking capabilities at the search level, the hospital network aims to address delays and drop-offs that can occur during multi-step booking processes.
Max Healthcare operates a network of hospitals across India and has been expanding its digital touchpoints to support patient engagement, access, and information discovery. The latest integration reflects a broader trend among healthcare providers adopting search-based tools to connect patients with services more efficiently.
