ManipalCigna Health Insurance Company has announced the expansion of its operations in Tamil Nadu by adding 10 new branches. As part of its regional growth strategy, the company plans to onboard over 10,000 new advisors across South India.

A joint venture between Manipal Group and global health services company Cigna Healthcare, ManipalCigna has focused on strengthening its footprint in key markets. According to data from the General Insurance Council (GIC), the company achieved a 30% growth in premiums in Q1 FY2026, outpacing the broader insurance sector.

In Tamil Nadu alone, ManipalCigna operates 18 offices, works with over 1,500 empaneled hospitals, and has a network of over 7,000 advisors. In FY2025, the insurer covered more than 11 lakh lives in the state.

Commenting on the expansion, Sapna Desai, Chief Marketing Officer, ManipalCigna Health Insurance, said, “Over the years, our growing network, innovative offerings, and customer-centric approach have enabled us to earn the trust of our policyholders and our partners to deliver tangible value.”

She added, “Our consistent growth and the launch of our innovative flagship product, ‘Sarvah’ with unique features such as infinite coverage available with ‘Sarvah Uttam’ plan and absolutely zero waiting period available with ‘Sarvah Param’ plan, demonstrates our dedication to the health, well-being of our customers.”

Over the past three years, ManipalCigna has settled claims worth ₹101 crore in Tamil Nadu. The company’s 30% premium growth in the first quarter of the current financial year reflects its focus on building a strong regional presence and offering products aligned with consumer needs.
