Kauvery Hospitals Enters North-East with First Health Center Launch in Guwahati

The Guwahati Health Centre will function as a referral and coordination hub, offering patients access to advanced diagnostics, second opinions from specialists, guidance for complex procedures, and structured follow-up care.

Kauvery Hospitals has expanded its footprint to the North-East with the inauguration of its first Health Centre in Guwahati, marking the healthcare group’s entry into the region.

The centre aims to improve access to specialized medical services for patients in Assam and neighbouring states.

Announcing the launch, Kingsley Devaraj, Director of Operations, Kauvery Hospitals, Chennai, said the Guwahati centre will offer advanced consultations, preventive healthcare services, and emergency support to residents of the region.

The facility has been designed to connect patients with specialists across critical care, cardiac sciences, neurosciences, orthopaedics, oncology, and transplant services, ensuring timely and reliable medical care through a coordinated network.

“The launch of our first Health Centre in Guwahati reflects Kauvery Hospitals’ long-standing vision of taking high-quality healthcare to regions that require expanded access,” Devaraj said.

Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Kauvery Hospitals, said the expansion into the North-East aligns with the group’s continued focus on clinical excellence and patient well-being.

“We aim to bring the same level of medical proficiency and trust to Guwahati that has shaped our growth in Chennai and other cities. Our services will provide international-standard treatment at costs that are within reach for the community,” he added.

The Guwahati Health Centre will function as a referral and coordination hub, offering patients access to advanced diagnostics, second opinions from specialists, guidance for complex procedures, and structured follow-up care. This approach is intended to reduce the need for long-distance travel while ensuring continuity of care.

Kauvery Hospitals currently operates three major units in Chennai, including a 250-bed quaternary care facility at Alwarpet, a 500-bed advanced facility at Radial Road in Kovilambakkam, and a 250-bed centre in Vadapalani, each offering a wide range of specialised medical services.

With the launch of the Guwahati centre, Kauvery Hospitals aims to bridge healthcare access gaps in the North-East and extend its multidisciplinary care model to the region.
