Indegene Unveils GenAI-Driven Platform for Medical Writing Automation
According to the company, the platform is designed to help medical writing teams meet tight timelines while managing fragmented data and regulatory requirements.
Indegene has announced the launch of NEXT Medical Writing Automation, a GenAI-powered platform aimed at improving efficiency in medical writing processes across clinical development and regulatory submissions.
NEXT Medical Writing Automation combines Indegene’s domain knowledge with its AI engine, Cortex, to automate the creation of compliant, high-quality documents.
According to the company, the platform is designed to help medical writing teams meet tight timelines while managing fragmented data and regulatory requirements.
The platform integrates with Regulatory Information Management (RIM) systems to maintain traceability and consistency. It operates within Microsoft Word, generating drafts that adapt to various sponsor formats and workflows. With features like automated scheduling, intelligent task assignment, and structured data integration, the solution is built to support scale while preserving compliance standards.
“Writers can now focus on strategic tasks and critical thinking, while the platform manages the heavy lift of data and formatting,” said Sameer Lal, SVP, Enterprise Medical Solutions, Indegene. “We see this platform as more than automation – it’s about elevating the entire practice of medical writing.”
This launch aligns with Indegene’s broader strategy to strengthen its medical writing capabilities. It follows the company's acquisition of Trilogy Writing & Consulting GmbH, a global medical writing services provider.
