Bengaluru-based cell and gene therapy startup Immuneel Therapeutics has raised over INR 100 crore in its Series B funding round, aimed at expanding manufacturing capacity, advancing its therapy pipeline, and accelerating international market entry.
The round saw participation from new investors, including Singularity AMC, Rainmatter by Zerodha, and several high-net-worth individuals. Existing investors such as Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Eight Roads Ventures, and F-Prime Capital also continued their support in the latest funding cycle.
According to the company, the fresh capital will be deployed toward scaling its Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) manufacturing infrastructure to increase patient access to advanced therapies in India and global markets. It will also support the development of next-generation cell and gene therapy candidates and their progression toward clinical milestones.
A key focus area of the funding will be the commercialisation of Qartemi, Immuneel’s approved CAR-T therapy for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. The company has already initiated its commercial rollout and is working to expand treatment availability in emerging healthcare markets.
Immuneel Therapeutics is also pursuing international expansion across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, alongside clinical co-development partnerships in regions such as Australia and Southeast Asia. The company aims to strengthen its position in the global cell therapy ecosystem through these collaborations.
The startup operates India’s first internationally benchmarked CAR-T platform, designed to deliver advanced therapies at significantly lower costs compared to Western markets.
Amit Mookim, Chief Executive Officer of Immuneel Therapeutics, said, “Qartemi’s commercialisation proved we can deliver world-class CAR-T outcomes at a fraction of Western costs. This Series B financing accelerates what comes next: a bold international expansion and a next-generation pipeline that will redefine how cell therapies reach patients globally.”
