Hyderabad Hosp Unveils India’s First AI-Based Non-Invasive Blood Test Tool

The tool employs Remote Photoplethysmography (PPG), a technology that measures changes in light absorption caused by variations in blood volume.
Hyderabad’s Niloufer Hospital has become the first healthcare institution in India to deploy Amruth Swasth Bharath, an AI-powered diagnostic tool that delivers non-invasive blood test results in under a minute.
Developed by healthtech startup Quick Vitals, this diagnostic tool was officially launched at Niloufer Hospital’s Red Hills campus in Lakdikapul.
The tool employs Remote Photoplethysmography (PPG), a technology that measures changes in light absorption caused by variations in blood volume. This allows smartphones or tablets with a camera to retrieve a wide range of vital health metrics non-invasively. These include blood pressure, oxygen saturation (SpO₂), heart rate, respiration rate, heart rate variability (HRV), stress levels, hemoglobin A1c, pulse respiratory quotient (PRQ), and activity of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
Additionally, it can assess hemoglobin and cholesterol levels, offering a comprehensive snapshot of a patient’s health in under a minute, without the need for needles or lab processing.
At the launch, Prof Dr Ravi Kumar, Superintendent of Niloufer Hospital, said, "Amruth Swasth Bharath will revolutionize health diagnostics in India. It is particularly beneficial for children and pregnant women, facilitating regular and accessible health assessments. We take pride in being the first hospital in India to implement this transformative initiative."
Live demonstrations at the event allowed medical professionals to test the tool’s speed and accuracy in real time.
"With Amruth Swasth Bharath, health monitoring has become as simple as taking a selfie. Our mobile face scanning technology offers rapid access to crucial health information, effectively addressing existing barriers to healthcare access," Harish Bisam, Founder of Quick Vitals, added.
According to the company, test results are delivered in 20 to 60 seconds.
Further, the tool supports contactless spot checks via smartphone or tablet cameras and continuous monitoring through contact-based PPG sensors, making it adaptable to various healthcare settings.
The platform also enables secure, multi-user registration and ensures patient information is only shared with authorised healthcare providers, in full compliance with Indian medical data regulations.
Looking ahead, the Quick Vitals Founder announced the tool’s expansion, "Our goal is to make these vital health assessments universally accessible and to improve the overall healthcare delivery system in India."
He revealed that Maharashtra will be the next state to adopt Amruth Swasth Bharath, following its successful debut in Hyderabad.
