TRUMAS sutures were developed to overcome the challenges of suturing during minimally invasive surgeries, thereby departing from conventional sutures.

Healthium Medtech, a global medtech company headquartered in Bengaluru, has introduced a range of TRUMAS sutures meticulously designed to address challenges faced during suturing in minimal access surgeries (MAS).

TRUMAS offers a diverse array of needle and suture combinations, catering comprehensively to the needs of surgeons.

These innovations include anti-reflective needles to alleviate eye fatigue, optimally curved needles for ease of introduction and maneuverability, square body needles for enhanced grip, and well-sized, short-length barb sutures.

Minimal access surgery (MAS) has gained significant traction in the past two decades and is now hailed as the benchmark for surgical procedures across diverse medical fields. While technological innovations have elevated surgical accuracy and patient results, suturing within MAS has seen limited specialised advancements. It often leans on the expertise of surgeons, highlighting an area with potential for further development.

Anish Bafna, CEO & MD of Healthium Medtech, emphasized that introducing TRUMAS enriches the company's diverse product portfolio in the wound closure segment. Bafna highlighted Healthium's dedication to producing high-quality, precision-based devices that address gaps and prioritise patient safety.

It was further stated that the TRUMAS sutures were developed to overcome the challenges of suturing during minimally invasive surgeries, thereby departing from conventional sutures.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Moharana, CMO of Healthium Medtech, highlighted that TRUMAS embodies the company's commitment to advancing medical technology through collaborative innovation and a profound understanding of evolving medical professional needs.

Dr. Moharana invited surgeons, healthcare experts, and the broader medical community to witness the future of suturing in minimal-access surgery as Healthium takes a significant step toward medical progress.
