Healthcare SaaS Startup Zealthix Raises $1.1 Mn Seed Funding

The startup, founded in 2023 by Abhishek Kumar and Avinash Gupta, aims to streamline the delivery of healthcare plans for Payers and Insurers.

Zealthix, a SaaS-based healthcare platform, has raised $1.1 million in a seed funding round led by Unicorn India Ventures, with participation from AlphaGen Venture Capital.

The startup, founded in 2023 by Abhishek Kumar and Avinash Gupta, aims to streamline the delivery of healthcare plans for Payers and Insurers.

The platform provides cloud-based middleware that connects fragmented healthcare systems and supports OPD and comprehensive health plans. By automating workflows and simplifying processes, Zealthix enables Payers and Insurers to deliver cashless OPD services efficiently. The funding will be utilized for business expansion and revenue growth.

In the past year, Zealthix onboarded 20 paying customers, including insurers, brokers, and care plan companies. The startup has also launched its OPD stack with multiple partners and insurers.

“Having built businesses, which created categories such as BeatO (first in Condition/Care/Disease Management space) & BookMyCab (first in cab aggregation space), we are driven by our passion for making the Indian Healthcare Ecosystem more digitized, streamlined, and interoperable. Be it OPD or In-patient experience, as customers, we encounter broken systems, offline processes, and poor experience,” said Abhishek Kumar, CEO of Zealthix.

Kumar added, “The government, too, is looking to digitise the healthcare ecosystem. Providers are looking to become more technology-efficient. The timing and support we are getting from the ecosystem is tremendous. We want to contribute in our own ways to help various stakeholders with technology, workflow, digitisation & AI adoption.”

Over the next 12 months, Zealthix plans to focus on health providers, assisting them with technology solutions to enhance efficiency, compliance, and digitisation. The startup also aims to evolve its OPD stack to address all potential use cases for Payers.

Anil Joshi, Managing Partner at Unicorn India Ventures, noted, “Advances in cloud computing have massively changed the technological landscape of businesses. India’s healthcare SaaS sector has entered a golden phase of adoption, showing a promising ability to offer quality and timely services.”
