Guttify Introduces India’s First Saliva-Based At-Home Gut Health Test
The test provides a quick, noninvasive method for assessing gut health at home. It delivers results within 24 hours without requiring stool samples or lab visits.
Delhi-based gut health startup Guttify, a Lifechart venture, has introduced India’s first saliva-based gut scan kit priced at INR 199.
The test provides a quick, noninvasive method for assessing gut health at home. It delivers results within 24 hours without requiring stool samples or lab visits.
The Gut Scan Kit is ISO certified and NABL-accredited through Fair Labs, ensuring efficacy and safety standards. It uses advanced microbiological research techniques to detect gram-negative harmful bacteria, which are often linked to common gut issues such as bloating, constipation, acidity, and fatigue, which affect millions in India.
Upon completing the test, users receive a detailed gut health report, personalized dietary and lifestyle recommendations, and a tailored healing protocol. The kit explicitly addresses Indian biology and lifestyle factors.
Guttify has raised over $1 million in funding, including an extended seed round of $360,000 in May 2025. The new capital aims to support the scale-up of its diagnosis-first, at-home gut wellness solutions targeting urban and semi-urban Indian markets.
Mukul Shah, Co-founder of Guttify, stated, "We believe gut health is the foundation of overall well-being, yet it’s often overlooked due to the lack of accessible and accurate testing. Our saliva-based quick test makes advanced gut health diagnostics available to every Indian household."
The startup also added Prashant Pitti, founder of EaseMyTrip and Optimio, as a strategic advisor and investor. Since its launch in May 2025, Guttify has served more than 5,000 customers across India and reports a monthly growth rate between 30 and 35 percent.
