The system allows patients and attendants to scan QR codes placed at key locations such as reception areas, outpatient departments, and wards.
In a significant step to enhance healthcare quality and administrative services, Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar launched a QR-based feedback system at Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital.
This initiative aims to provide patients and their attendants with a simple, efficient, and transparent platform to share their experiences and suggestions for hospital improvements.
The innovative system was inaugurated by Prof Dr Iffat Hassan, Principal and Dean of GMC Srinagar, who highlighted the importance of incorporating patient feedback to drive institutional growth.
She stated, “The QR-based feedback system is a milestone in our efforts to deliver patient-centered care. It will help us better understand patients’ needs and address their concerns effectively.”
The system allows patients and attendants to scan QR codes placed at key locations such as reception areas, outpatient departments, and wards.
They can submit feedback anonymously or with contact details. The data will be reviewed regularly to identify areas of improvement and ensure timely redressal of grievances.
The Administrator praised the collaborative efforts of the GMC IT Section in developing this user-friendly system, describing it as a direct communication channel between patients and the hospital administration.
“This platform enhances transparency and accountability, enabling us to better respond to patient concerns,” they said.
The initiative aligns with the hospital’s vision of leveraging technology to ensure patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
The Head of the Urology Department emphasized that feedback would inform decision-making processes, allowing the hospital to address concerns in a time-bound manner.
The launch of this system reinforces SMHS Hospital’s commitment to continuous innovation and improvement in healthcare delivery, ensuring its position as a leader in patient care excellence.
