The proposed facility will be developed in the rapidly growing Cuttack-Bhubaneswar corridor and is expected to serve as a tertiary care center for patients across Odisha and neighboring states.
Fortis Healthcare has signed an Operations and Management (O&M) agreement with Dion Group to develop and operate a 300-bed greenfield multi-specialty hospital at Dion Riverside Township in Trishulia, Cuttack, marking the company's first major presence in Odisha.
The proposed facility will be developed in the rapidly growing Cuttack-Bhubaneswar corridor and is expected to serve as a tertiary care center for patients across Odisha and neighboring states. The hospital will provide tertiary and quaternary healthcare services supported by advanced diagnostics, critical care infrastructure, and specialized clinical programs.
The project is being developed in partnership with Bhubaneswar-headquartered Dion Group, a real estate and infrastructure developer with an established presence in Odisha through residential, commercial, and integrated township projects. The company has also been expanding into hospitality and healthcare infrastructure.
According to the announcement, the hospital is designed to function as a multi-specialty center with advanced clinical capabilities and modern medical technology. It is also planned as a Center of Excellence across multiple specialties, bringing specialized healthcare services closer to patients in Eastern India.
The agreement aligns with Fortis Healthcare's strategy to expand its footprint through asset-light growth models, including Operations and Management partnerships, alongside brownfield expansion and other inorganic growth initiatives. The collaboration represents the company's entry into Odisha as part of its broader national expansion plans.
Once operational, the hospital is expected to strengthen the region's healthcare infrastructure by improving access to specialized treatment and advanced medical care. The facility is also expected to reduce the need for patients from Odisha to travel to other states for complex procedures and specialized interventions.
In addition to expanding healthcare access, the project is expected to support the regional healthcare ecosystem by creating opportunities for advanced clinical services, attracting medical professionals, and strengthening healthcare delivery capacity in Eastern India.
