Evvy Raises $40Mn Series B to Advance AI-Powered Precision Diagnostics for Women’s Health

The startup plans to use the funding to support clinical validation of EvvyAI-powered diagnostic and precision care models across women’s health, with fertility as an initial focus.

New York-based precision healthcare startup Evvy has raised $40 million in an oversubscribed Series B funding round aimed at advancing its AI-powered diagnostic and care models.

The round was led by Catalio Capital Management, with participation from Rethink Impact, Muse Capital, and Alumni Ventures. Existing investors, including Amboy Street Ventures, Ingeborg, Foreground Capital and Flywheel Ventures, also participated.

Commenting on the new investment, Jacob Vogelstein, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Catalio Capital Management, said, “We were drawn to Evvy not only because of its growth, but because of the unique data and AI infrastructure the company is building, and the exceptional team executing on it. Its combination of proprietary data, clinical evidence, and a growing biomarker discovery engine creates an entirely new foundation for precision women’s healthcare. We believe Evvy is building the data platform that will define this category for decades to come.”

Founded in 2021 by Priyanka Jain, Laine Bruzek and Pita Navarro, Evvy has developed a clinical-grade dataset focused on the vaginal microbiome and its links to women’s health outcomes.

Its machine learning platform, EvvyAI, analyses biological data to support diagnostic development and treatment decisions.

Its testing platform is powered by CLIA-certified, NYS CLEP-approved metagenomic sequencing; ordered and interpreted by licensed clinicians; and matched with prescription treatment plans tailored to each patient's results and health history where relevant.

The startup plans to use the funding to support clinical validation of Evvy AI-powered diagnostic and precision care models across women’s health, with fertility as an initial focus.

Additionally, the startup will expand its distribution through medical professionals and partner organisations.

Further, Evvy will also continue its research partnership with US Fertility to investigate potential links between the vaginal microbiome and reproductive health.

According to the startup, its proprietary dataset and insights compound with every test, and its platform has already led to 13 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts, the identification of novel BV Subtypes, and the discovery of hundreds of previously uncatalogued vaginal microbiome genomes.

Its platform has served more than 100,000 patients and 3,000 practitioners through at-home testing, personalised treatment recommendations and ongoing biomarker monitoring, the startup reported.
