epikdoc Launches AI-Driven Platform to Build Transparency in Dental Care
The platform enables patients to access independent second opinions, view AI-interpreted X-rays, and connect directly with dentists based on peer-reviewed recommendations — all within one interface.
Ghaziabad-based dental AI startup epikdoc has launched epikdoc Pro, introducing its new Patient LLM and X-ray AI tools designed to improve transparency and trust in India’s dental care ecosystem.
The platform enables patients to access independent second opinions, view AI-interpreted X-rays, and connect directly with dentists based on peer-reviewed recommendations — all within one interface.
The Patient LLM, which “thinks like a dentist,” has already facilitated over 13,000 second opinions and completed 1.8 million AI X-ray reads, indicating the growing demand for reliable and transparent dental consultations in India.
The company said the new platform addresses one of dentistry’s most persistent issues — trust — by tackling inconsistencies in treatment plans, costs, and clinical transparency. Through XrayIQ for preventive AI diagnosis and simplified patient explanations, EpikVoice for doctor productivity, and epikLabs for seamless collaboration, epikdoc Pro aims to streamline workflows among patients, practitioners, and labs.
“Dentistry in India has long needed a bridge between patients, practitioners, and labs,” said Dr Sanjeet Shanker, Founder & CEO, epikdoc. “With epikdoc Pro and Patient LLM, we are not just adding features; we are rebuilding the foundation of trust in oral healthcare. Finally, an AI built by dentists for dentists. By making it an active partner in preventive care, diagnosis, and patient understanding, we are enabling dentists to focus on care while empowering patients with clarity and confidence.”
epikdoc sees significant potential in India’s $44 billion dental care market, with continued focus on patient-centric innovation and AI-based clinical transparency.
