Health technology startup Enzo Health has launched an AI-native electronic health record (EHR) platform designed specifically for home healthcare agencies. The company claims the new system, called Enzo EHR, automates the entire patient care episode—from referral intake and scheduling to documentation, compliance, and billing—within a single platform.

The launch marks what Enzo Health describes as an industry-first agentic EHR built specifically for the home health sector. The company said the platform is designed to address operational inefficiencies and reduce dependence on multiple disconnected software tools commonly used by agencies.

According to Enzo Health, Enzo EHR can process referral packages from multiple sources and surface key patient information to support admission decisions. The company claims the platform can reduce intake times from an industry average of 70 minutes to approximately five minutes.

The system also automates scheduling by matching clinicians with patients based on factors such as availability, location, and care requirements. Enzo Health said this process can reduce scheduling time from about 15 minutes to 30 seconds.

For clinicians, the platform uses AI-powered documentation tools that generate visit notes from real-time conversations. The company said this can reduce charting time by roughly 75% per visit. The system also tracks physician orders, manages care plans, prepares billing claims, and identifies potential issues that could result in claim denials before submission.

Speaking about the challenges in the home healthcare market, Enzo Health CEO and co-founder Zach Newman said agencies often rely on multiple software products layered on top of legacy EHR systems, creating operational silos and inefficiencies.

The company said Enzo EHR was built as an end-to-end platform rather than adding AI features to existing legacy infrastructure. Its goal is to consolidate various point solutions used by home health providers into a single system.

Enzo Health reported that one early adopter organization has reduced intake decision-making times from 15–20 minutes to an average of one to two minutes after implementing the platform. The organization has also reported lower clinician documentation burdens and the ability to reallocate staff resources to other operational areas.

Founded in 2024, Enzo Health focuses on using AI to automate post-acute care workflows. In May 2026, the company announced a $20 million Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to $26 million. The startup says it now supports more than 100 organizations and approximately 500,000 patients annually.
