Dr Gamy Vaswani Appointed Chief Executive Officer at Shree Hospitals Mumbai

Prior to this role, Dr Vaswani was associated with Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre for over five years.

Dr Gamy Vaswani has been appointed Chief Executive Officer at Shree Hospitals in Mumbai. She shared the development in a LinkedIn post, marking the beginning of her new role at the hospital.

Announcing the appointment, Dr Vaswani wrote, "I'm happy to share that I'm starting a new position as Chief Executive Officer at Shree Hospitals, a premier upcoming 100-bedded multispecialty hospital in Mumbai!"

She further added, "It is a privilege to take on this role, and I am excited to work with the board, especially Dr Jay Mehta, to continue delivering exceptional healthcare to the city."

Prior to this role, Dr Vaswani was associated with Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre for over five years. Most recently, she served as Chief of Clinical Strategy RFH and Reliance Healthcare Initiatives. Earlier, she served as Additional Director, Medical Services, Strategy and New Projects

Her earlier responsibilities also included leading clinical services operations, PnL and medico marketing at Morpheus IVF. She also served as Associate Vice President and Account Delivery Lead at IKS Health.

Dr Vaswani’s professional background spans hospital management, clinical strategy and healthcare operations across multiple organisations.

Shree Hospital was established in 1988 by Dr Shrihari Dhorepatil, MS, General & Laparoscopic Surgeon, and Dr Mrs Bharati Dhorepatil, DNB, DGO, Gynecologist & Infertility Specialist, to serve the medicare needs of citizens staying in the eastern parts across the Bund Garden Bridge in Pune.

The hospital began with six beds and initially focused on general surgical, gynecological and obstetric patients. Within the next two years, additional consultants joined, and multispecialty outpatient services were introduced. Over time, the nursing home expanded into a multispecialty hospital with 40 beds.

The hospital currently offers departments including surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, obstetrics and menorrhagia, gynaec surgery, pediatrics, medicine, cancer surgery, urology, nephrology and ophthalmology.
