Cigna Healthcare Introduces Global Health Plan for Seniors Aged 60 & Above

The 'Cigna Healthcare Global Plan for Seniors' includes various health, well-being, and preventive care services. It provides essential coverage for hospital stays, inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment, and vaccinations.

Cigna Healthcare's International Health business has introduced a tailored health benefits plan specifically designed to cater to the needs of individuals aged 60 and above who lead a global lifestyle. 

This initiative aims to support the well-being of seniors in an increasingly mobile world.

Known as the 'Cigna Healthcare Global Plan for Seniors,' this offering addresses rising consumer demand. Cigna Healthcare's research predicts that the market for this plan is expected to encompass approximately 450,000 individuals by 2025.

The 'Cigna Healthcare Global Plan for Seniors' includes various health, well-being, and preventive care services. It provides essential coverage for hospital stays, inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment, and vaccinations. 

Furthermore, the plan covers medical and pharmacy care for common health concerns such as hypertension, Type 2 diabetes, glaucoma, arthritis, joint or back pain, and osteoporosis/osteopenia. It's worth mentioning that there is no age limit, ensuring that seniors are covered for as long as they require.

Key features of the plan include:

1. Mental Health Support: The plan offers up to 20 face-to-face counseling sessions, access to mindfulness coaches, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) psychologists.
2. Lifestyle Support: Seniors can access personal trainers and qualified coaches to assist with weight management, healthy eating, physical activity, sleep improvement, stress management, and tobacco cessation.
3. Full Cancer Care Support: Comprehensive coverage includes testing, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, outpatient drugs, and assistance with certain consumer products like wigs, headbands, and mastectomy bras.
