The Indian Cancer Society (ICS), and St. Jude India Childcare Centers—to enhance digital oncology infrastructure, improve access to cancer care, and support research and early diagnosis initiatives.
Axis Bank has announced strategic partnerships with three leading cancer care and research institutions—National Cancer Grid (NCG) under Tata Memorial Centre, The Indian Cancer Society (ICS), and St Jude India Childcare Centers.
The partnership aims to enhance digital oncology infrastructure, improve access to cancer care, and support research and early diagnosis initiatives.
According to the Global Cancer Observatory (GLOBOCAN), cancer cases in India are projected to increase by 57.5% by 2040, reaching 2.08 million cases, underscoring the need for strengthened healthcare infrastructure and expanded research efforts.
The partnerships seeks to address these gaps by advancing digital healthcare solutions, promoting early screenings, and supporting financially vulnerable patients.
Axis Bank’s collaboration with National Cancer Grid (NCG) focuses on digital oncology advancements, including a national tele-consultation platform, a tumor biobank, and digital oncology records.
These initiatives are expected to benefit over 300 hospitals nationwide by streamlining cancer diagnostics and treatment planning.
Through its partnership with the Indian Cancer Society (ICS), the bank is funding cancer screening and awareness programs targeting 8 lakh beneficiaries, while also covering treatment costs for patients from economically weaker sections.
Further extending its support, Axis Bank has contributed to the establishment of a 26-unit accommodation facility in Hyderabad in collaboration with St Jude India Childcare Centres, providing safe housing for children undergoing cancer treatment.
