Aster Ropes In Ex-HCG CIO Sudeep Dey to Strengthen Digital Ops

Before joining Aster, he served as CIO at HealthCare Global Enterprises (HCG), where he spearheaded major digital transformation programs across oncology, fertility, and diagnostics.

Aster DM Healthcare has named Sudeep Dey as the new Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer (CIO & CISO) for its India operations.

The leadership transition marks a key moment in Aster’s digital and cyber governance strategy as it continues to expand technology-led healthcare services across the country.

Dey steps into the role previously held by Sreeni Venugopal, who previously led IT and security functions at Aster.

Known for his expertise in digital transformation and enterprise IT leadership, Dey brings over two decades of experience in healthcare and enterprise technology.

Before joining Aster, he served as CIO at HealthCare Global Enterprises (HCG), where he spearheaded major digital transformation programs across oncology, fertility, and diagnostics. At HCG’s Triesta Labs, he led integrated solutions for genomics, digital pathology, and radionomics, driving clinical collaboration and outcomes.

Dey also held key leadership roles at Fortis Healthcare, where he served nearly a decade in various senior IT positions, including heading enterprise architecture, analytics, and IT operations across multiple geographies. His early career includes tenures at Godfrey Phillips India, iBilt Technologies, NIIT, and Path Infotech, where he built deep technical and domain expertise.

In addition to his new role at Aster DM Healthcare, Dey is currently an advisor to the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, contributing to initiatives spanning healthtech, policy, and health tourism. He also serves as an honorary board advisor at Alphaxine, a health and life sciences consulting firm.

With this appointment, Aster strengthens its commitment to building a secure, data-driven, and patient-centric technology ecosystem.
