Apollo Hospitals & Medtronic Partner to Launch Advanced ICU in Hyderabad

The 11-bedded "ICU of the Future" integrates Medtronic’s advanced Acute Care Monitoring and digital technologies aimed at advancing critical care delivery.

In a move to strengthen critical care infrastructure, Apollo Hospitals and global healthcare technology company Medtronic have launched an advanced ICU facility at Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

The 11-bedded "ICU of the Future" integrates Medtronic’s advanced Acute Care Monitoring and digital technologies to advance critical care delivery.

As part of the initiative, an MoU was signed by Dr Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group; Manpreet Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Apollo HealthAxis; and Mandeep Singh Kumar, Managing Director & Vice President, India Subcontinent Countries, Medtronic, during a formal inauguration ceremony held at the Jubilee Hills campus.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group, said, "Critical care is where every decision, every minute and every intervention can make the difference between life and loss. Our responsibility is not only to bring the best technologies to India but to ensure they meaningfully improve clinical decisions and patient outcomes. Developed in collaboration with Medtronic’s ACM team, the initiative seeks to strengthen critical care infrastructure and advance collaborative healthcare innovation.

The advanced facility brings together clinical expertise, digital innovation and advanced healthcare technology to support smarter decision-making, strengthen critical care delivery and enable improved patient outcomes.

It combines Medtronic's advanced patient monitoring technologies with Apollo Hospitals' clinical expertise to create a digitally enabled critical care environment designed to enhance personalised care while serving as a real-world innovation platform for future healthcare technologies.

In addition, the digitally enabled ICU is intended to serve as a collaborative innovation hub which is expected to support clinicians and technology developers can work together to better understand critical care challenges and develop smarter, connected solutions.
