After Andheri, Sunrise Oncology Centre Unveils Comprehensive Cancer Care in Mumbai’s Vasai

This significant development comes months after Sunrise Oncology Centre launched its center in Andheri, Mumbai.

Sunrise Oncology Centre, a leading provider of comprehensive cancer care, has inaugurated its new facility in Vasai, Mumbai. This marks the establishment of the first cancer registry in the Palghar district.

This significant development comes months after Sunrise Oncology Centre launched its center in Andheri, Mumbai. The Andheri center, which has been operational since September 2023, offers a six-bedded unit with amenities, specializing in treatments including chemotherapy and immunotherapy

The Vasai Center aims to provide holistic and internationally guided cancer treatments, including core systemic therapies such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy, as well as essential supportive care services.

On the launch, Dr Ashay Karpe, director & founder, Sunrise Oncology Centre, said, “With the inauguration of our Vasai Centre, we are bringing advanced cancer care closer to the community here, fulfilling a critical need in the region.”

Karpe further noted that their mission is to offer comprehensive cancer care that encompasses not just the clinical treatment of cancer but also the overall well-being of our patients.

What are the Oncology Centre's Offerings?

The new cancer care facility in Vasai will offer treatment for cancer including psychological counseling, nutrition advice, physiotherapy, genetic counseling, and pain management, all under one roof.

Equipped with advanced technologies, such as the laminar flow machine for maintaining sterile environments, a specialized oncology-focused patient management software to enhance treatment efficiency and patient comfort,

Recent Healthcare Developments in Mumbai

The country’s financial capital is witnessing several developments in the healthcare space.

For instance, Fortis Hospital Mulund has recently introduced 'Movement Disorder & DBS Clinic', aimed at addressing various movement disorders prevalent among patients. The clinic aims to promise personalized treatment plans for individuals grappling with conditions such as dystonia, tremors, hemifacial spasms, and ataxia.

Likewise, Gleneagles Hospital in Parel, Mumbai unveiled a state-of-the-art Bi-Plane Cath Lab, integrating AI to elevate cardiac care standards.

The advanced Cath Lab promises faster diagnosis, reduced radiation exposure, and improved treatment outcomes, aiming to address the growing cardiac concerns prevalent among the population.

Earlier, in February, TechInvention Lifecare, a Mumbai-based biotech startup, inaugurated its Global Collaborative Centre for Medical Countermeasures (GCMC).

The center, located near the upcoming international airport in Navi Mumbai, showcases an investment of approximately $15 million.

Further, the center's objective aligns with WHO's call to action, CEPI's 100-day mission, India's National Biotechnology Development Strategy (2020-2025), and other key global initiatives.
