$600 AI Smart Scale Claims Early Detection of Chronic Health Risks

The smart scale uses embedded electrodes, a retractable handle, and smartphone connectivity to generate detailed health insights from a single scan.

A new $600 AI-powered smart scale unveiled at CES claims it can help detect chronic health risks early by tracking more than 60 biomarkers linked to long-term health conditions.

The device is designed to identify indicators associated with conditions such as high blood pressure and prediabetes, with the aim of flagging potential health issues before visible symptoms appear.

The company says early detection could support better aging outcomes and reduce unexpected medical complications.

The smart scale uses embedded electrodes, a retractable handle, and smartphone connectivity to generate detailed health insights from a single scan. According to the company, the device can complete a comprehensive assessment in about 90 seconds.

The scale uses technologies including Impedance Cardiography (ICG), a 6-lead ECG system, pulse wave velocity measurement, and Bioimpedance Spectroscopy to assess cardiac efficiency, cardiac reactivity, ECG, heart age, arterial stiffness, and active cell mass. A proprietary AI model is used to assess hypertension risk and potential glycemic dysregulation.

Marketed as a tool for proactive health monitoring, the device is positioned as an at-home solution for tracking long-term health trends using artificial intelligence. The Body Scan 2 is expected to be available to consumers in the second quarter of 2026.
