Zepto adds Home Diagnostics to boost e-pharmacy play, Partners with Orange Health Labs
Users can now book diagnostic tests directly through the app, including full body checkups, thyroid function assessments, blood sugar tests, complete blood count and other common pathology requirements
Zepto has expanded into at-home diagnostics, strengthening its digital health presence as consumer platforms move beyond medicine delivery into full-stack patient testing, reporting, and healthcare services.
Users can now book diagnostic tests directly through the app, including full body checkups, thyroid function assessments, blood sugar tests, complete blood count, and other common pathology requirements.
Sample collection is conducted at home within 60 minutes, and lab reports are delivered within six hours. Prices begin at Rs 180 and go up to Rs 11,999 for premium packages after discounts.
The rollout is powered by Orange Health Labs, continuing a wider industry shift to rapid, home-based diagnostics.
Earlier this year, Amazon India introduced Amazon Diagnostics in partnership with Orange Health Labs to offer similar at-home testing across major cities.
The latest expansion follows Zepto’s entry into e-pharmacy earlier this year, placing the company in direct competition with Tata 1mg, PharmEasy, Apollo 24/7, Amazon, and other healthcare platforms investing in fast medical delivery, hyperlocal access, and integrated care.
The development comes as Zepto prepares to refile IPO documents, with plans to raise between $450 million and $500 million in fresh equity alongside an offer for sale by early shareholders. The company recently closed a $450 million funding round to accelerate operations and scale network reach.
Zepto has also launched a new “Super Mall” section inside the app, adding high-value non-grocery categories such as home décor, appliances, apparel, kitchenware, and deals-based listings. Analysts say the shift aims to boost average order value and strengthen unit economics as fast-commerce platforms deepen their service portfolios.
With diagnostics now added to the healthcare stack, Zepto brings medical testing, rapid sample processing, and digital reports into its existing last-mile logistics network. Industry analysts note rising demand for healthcare services that combine convenience, lower turnaround times, and app-based report access, with major e-commerce players using healthtech expansion to increase transaction volumes and user loyalty.
