Sanjeevan Hospital Introduces Advanced Coronary CT Angiography Facility

This facility, claimed as first of its kind in the area, offers access to advanced cardiac evaluation services, contributing to a better patient experience to the residents of Old Delhi area.

Sanjeevan Hospital, a healthcare institution in Old Delhi, has unveiled a Coronary CT Angiography facility with an integrated CAT scan-based Stress Myocardial Perfusion Imaging (CT MPI) feature.

This facility, claimed as first of its kind in the area, offers access to advanced cardiac evaluation services, contributing to a better patient experience to the residents of Old Delhi area. Integrating CAT scan-based Stress Myocardial Perfusion Imaging (CT MPI) further enhances diagnostic accuracy and capabilities.

Commenting on the development, Dr Prem Aggarwal, MD, Sanjeevan Hospital, said, "We take pride in being the first hospital in Old Delhi to provide Coronary CT Angiography, the initial diagnostic preference for chest pain evaluation. In terms of technology advancements, Coronary CT Angiography is a key diagnostic tool for chest pain assessment. Stress myocardial perfusion CT (MPICT) involves acquiring a series of CT images after the injection of a contrast medium during pharmacological hyperemia. It is a technique similar to perfusion imaging by MRI or PET, enabling detailed cardiac assessments.

Among the prominent figures who attended the unveiling were Dr Girish Tyagi, the registrar of the Delhi Medical Council; Dr Arun Gupta, the president of the Delhi Medical Council; Ashwini Dalmiya, the president of the Delhi Medical Association; Dr VK Trehan, a leading cardiologist; Dr GK Mani, the Padmashri of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.

Established in 1982, Sanjeevan Hospital, located in Daryaganj, New Delhi, was founded by Dr Prem Aggarwal, a cardiologist and critical care specialist, in collaboration with senior doctors from Maulana Azad Medical College.

With over 100 beds and a 10-bed ICU, the hospital received NABH recognition in 2017 and is affiliated with the Central Government Health Services (CGHS) and the Delhi Government Employment Health Scheme (DGEHS).

In the same vein, Chinmaya Mission Hospital has introduced the Siemens Multix VA 20 AI Imaging system, which combines AI technology with precision imaging to enhance healthcare.

This medical imaging equipment enhances diagnostic accuracy and speed while prioritising patient well-being by minimising radiation exposure.
