Redcliffe Labs Owned Medicentre Acquires Prime Sonography & Diagnostic Centre

With this acquisition, Redcliffe Labs seeks to strengthen its presence in Rajasthan by offering high-quality and accessible diagnostic services.

Redcliffe Labs owned Medicentre Sonography & Clinical Labs has acquired Prime Sonography & Diagnostic Centre in Kota, an integrated diagnostic laboratory that offers pathology and radiology services.

Redcliffe Labs counts venture capital firm Chiratae Ventures and impact investor Leapfrog Investments among its backers. However, the financial deals have not been disclosed by the companies.

Acquisition Components

Located in Kota, the newly acquired setup is led by Dr Arpit Maheshwari, an MD in radiodiagnosis. It will provide services to residents in Kota and surrounding areas, including Mandana, Dara, Chechat, Moink, and Ramganjmandi, among others,

With this acquisition, Noida-based diagnostics firm Redcliffe Labs seeks to strengthen its presence in Rajasthan by offering high-quality and accessible diagnostic services thereby helping clinicians with conclusive diagnostics, resulting in improved patient outcomes and experiences.

He further noted that including this acquisition with its exclusive MRI services is a stride towards further making diagnostic services accessible for people in the city.

Redcliffe Labs acquired Medicentre Sonography & Clinical Lab in 2023 to further deepen its penetration in Rajasthan.

Founded by Manish Seth, Medicentre offers imaging services, and a range of blood tests along with dedicated labs for cancer, neurology, immunology, and other critical diagnoses. It aims to leverage advanced technology and equipment to ensure high-quality tests to meet the needs of the patients.

Redcliffe Lab’s Recent Developments

In November, the Noida-based lab broadened its medical services by incorporating the processing of the Prostate Health Index (PHI) test at its central laboratory in Noida. This expansion aims to enhance the diagnostic capabilities in the field of prostate health.

The PHI test serves as a valuable tool in determining the necessity for a prostate biopsy. It assists in reducing the occurrence of unnecessary and negative biopsies by employing a mathematical formula that amalgamates serum total PSA, free PSA (fPSA), and p2PSA ([-2]proPSA) concentrations.

While Redcliffe lab also made several collaborations, for instance, its partnership with the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) in Thiruvananthapuram to manage and operate a laboratory equipped with Single Cell Genomics and High-Throughput Sequencing technologies.

Technologies such as 10X Chromium, Illumina Novaseq, Nanopore Gridion, and other associated infrastructures were incorporated to streamline the processing and analysis of genetic samples.

In another similar development, Redcliffe joined hands with Abbott India to launch the AI-powered clinical reporting solution ‘AlinIQ’.

To address the challenges posed by the abundance of healthcare data, commonly known as 'Big Data,' the healthcare organizations jointly developed an AI-powered Clinical Decision Support (CDS) System that transforms vast data into actionable insights.
