The programme was launched by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Medical Health & Family Welfare Brajesh Pathak at the Ram Prakash Gupta Maternity & Child State Referral Hospital in Lucknow.

P D Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre has partnered with the State Transformation Commission, Government of Uttar Pradesh (STC-UP), to strengthen maternal and adolescent healthcare services across 35 districts in the state.

The programme was launched by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Medical Health & Family Welfare Brajesh Pathak at the Ram Prakash Gupta Maternity & Child State Referral Hospital in Lucknow.

As part of the initiative, Pathak flagged off a fully equipped Hinduja Mobile Health Unit that will provide point-of-care diagnostics, counseling, and referral support. The unit will be supported by clinical and technical teams and will operate across identified communities as part of the broader healthcare program.

STC-UP will support the initiative through district-level coordination, administrative approvals, and access to schools and community sites. These measures are intended to facilitate the program’s integration with the state’s existing health system.

Pathak said the initiative aims to improve healthcare services and quality of life for mothers and children, including timely access to essential healthcare services related to childbirth.

The partnership is part of P D Hinduja Hospital’s “Saving Lives. Building a Healthier Bharat” initiative, launched to mark the hospital’s 75th year. According to Ashok P. Hinduja, chairman, P D Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre, the initiative seeks to extend the hospital’s healthcare expertise beyond its facilities and closer to communities across India.

Hinduja said Uttar Pradesh is an important step in expanding the initiative and aligned it with the broader vision of building a healthier India by 2047.

The launch event was attended by Harisoa Lalatiana Accouche, High Commissioner of Seychelles to India, as Guest of Honour. Manoj Kumar Singh, CEO, STC-UP; Dr. C. M.
