Lupin Digital Health, a subsidiary of global pharmaceutical giant Lupin Limited, has partnered strategically with Medicover Hospitals to transform post-operative cardiac rehabilitation in India.

This partnership introduces at-home cardiac care powered by Lupin’s advanced digital therapeutics (DTx) platform, Lyfe, aiming to bridge critical gaps in post-discharge care.

Medicover Hospitals, one of Europe’s largest healthcare providers with a strong footprint in India, has adopted Lyfe, Lupin Digital Health’s innovative DTx platform.

Dr Sharath Reddy, Executive Director and Senior Interventional Cardiologist at Medicover Hospitals underscored the value of this initiative, “Medicover is committed to delivering best-in-class cardiac care. By partnering with Lyfe, we aim to extend comprehensive in-home cardiovascular support, bridging critical gaps in post-discharge care and enhancing patient outcomes.”

Licensed as a Class C Medical Device by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), Lyfe enhances patient care by enabling seamless monitoring, adherence to treatment protocols, and closer engagement with healthcare teams.

The initiative focuses on providing personalized support for cardiac patients during the crucial recovery phase following hospital discharge.

With Lyfe, patients benefit from continuous monitoring and tailored interventions, reducing the likelihood of care lapses and improving overall health outcomes.

Rajeev Sibal, President of Lupin’s India Region Formulations, highlighted the significance of the collaboration, “Our partnership with Medicover Hospitals marks a major step in bringing advanced digital health solutions to cardiac patients in India. This will help ensure personalized care and improve recovery and adherence to treatment plans.”

Sidharth Srinivasan, CEO of Lupin Digital Health, emphasized the challenges of post-discharge cardiac rehabilitation stating that historically, the post-discharge phase of cardiac care has been challenging, with many patients experiencing care gaps.

He added that Medicover’s adoption of Lyfe ensures continuous patient support, addressing the critical issue of non-adherence.

Expanding Access Across India

The collaboration will roll out the cardiac care program across Medicover Hospitals’ network of 23 hospitals in 16 cities, spanning Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.

This initiative aims to provide accessible, technology-driven rehabilitation for thousands of patients across India.

Medicover Hospitals, with a global presence across 13 countries, including Germany, Sweden, and Poland, is recognized for its commitment to innovation and quality care.

Lupin Digital Health leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to address unmet patient needs.
