Haryana Launches Centralized Digital Platform for Health Professionals, Unifying Multiple Councils
The centralised digital platform for health is expected to serve around 1.5 lakh health professionals registered with various councils, including Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, AYUSH, Homeopathy and other allied health councils.
Haryana has launched a first-of-its-kind centralised digital platform for health, integrating multiple health councils into a single online system for registration, certification and employment services.
The digital platform for health has been designed to address long-standing challenges faced by healthcare professionals, such as fragmented registration systems, manual renewals and limited access to verified employment information.
By consolidating these functions, the state aims to create a single source of truth for professional credentials while reducing administrative delays and improving ease of access for users.
The background to this initiative lies in Haryana’s broader push towards digital governance and health system modernisation. Across India, states are increasingly adopting digital platforms to enhance service delivery, improve regulatory oversight and support healthcare workforce planning.
Haryana’s move aligns with national efforts to digitise health records, professional registries and employment systems, while also responding to the growing demand for transparent and efficient public services in the health sector.
The centralised digital platform for health is expected to serve around 1.5 lakh health professionals registered with various councils, including Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, AYUSH, Homeopathy and other allied health councils.
Through the platform, professionals can access online services such as registration, renewal of licences, issuance of certificates, profile updates and employment-related information, all from a single interface.
Moreover, the integrated job portal, a key feature of the platform, aims to bridge the gap between health professionals and healthcare institutions. By enabling verified linkages between qualified professionals and potential employers, the system is expected to support more efficient recruitment, particularly in underserved areas, while also improving workforce visibility for policymakers.
The project is being implemented in phases to ensure smooth onboarding and system stability. In the first phase, professionals from Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, AYUSH and Homoeopathy councils have been brought onto the platform.
Nursing and Physiotherapy professionals are planned to be integrated in subsequent phases, further expanding the reach of the digital platform for health.
Officials have indicated that the platform will also support better data-driven decision-making in the health department. Consolidated and real-time data on health professionals can help the state plan workforce deployment, identify gaps in service delivery and respond more effectively to public health needs.
With this initiative, Haryana positions itself as a frontrunner in adopting a comprehensive digital platform for health regulation and professional services.
