The latest funding round brings the total capital raised by Vivante to date to $47M, following a $16M Series A round in late 2021.

Chicago-based digital gastrointestinal (GI) health company Vivante Health has raised $31 million in Series B funding round.

The latest funding round brings the total capital raised by Vivante to date to $47M, following a $16M Series A round in late 2021.

The funding round was led by Mercato Partners with participation from Health Catalyst Capital, Intermountain Ventures, SemperVirens, 7wireVentures, Human Capital and Distributed Ventures.

The Series B funding will be utilised to upgrade its technology to predict the onset and progression of GI conditions and provide complete virtual care for digestive disorders.

Furthermore, the company plans to expand its commercial and client support teams along with onboarding support for new employers, health plans, and channel partners seeking better solutions for reducing the personal and financial toll of digestive disease.

Sharing his views, Bill Snyder, Vivante Health CEO, said "One in four Americans suffers from a digestive disorder or undiagnosed digestive symptoms that affect their quality of life as well as their healthcare costs. We have proven that our scalable technology platform paired with our comprehensive care team results in better health, lower costs and a much better experience for the members we serve."

Vivante offers a platform dubbed GIThrive that provides personalised care plans. Patients can track their symptoms and access educational content and self-guided behavioural health modules. A coordinated team of providers is also available via the platform, including dietitians, coaches and health physicians.

Last year, Solera Health, a digital platform specialising in providing a marketplace for benefits and chronic disease management programs, included Vivante and Oshi Health, another digital gastrointestinal health company in its marketplace of benefits and chronic care management tools.

Talking about gut health, a Bengaluru-based digital healthcare clinic Peping has recently secured $400K funding to set up a digital gut health clinic. With this funding, the healthcare startup aims to deliver high-quality care for gastrointestinal (GI) issues.
