Babynama offers 24/7 pediatric support, a dedicated team of doctors, parent education programs, and technology-driven care solutions.
Babynama, a digital pediatric care platform, has raised $700,000 in a seed funding round led by Good Capital.
The round also saw participation from Amplify and notable angel investors, including Abhishek Gupta (Fashinza), Ankit Gupta (Bicycle Health), Akshay Saxena (Avanti), and Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl, former COO of BharatPe. Several founders from the IIT Bombay network also contributed to the funding.
Established in June 2022 by pediatrician Dr Sumitra Meena and entrepreneur Ashish Meena, the Delhi-based startup aims to make expert child healthcare accessible through its chat-first platform.
Babynama offers 24/7 pediatric support, a dedicated team of doctors, parent education programs, and technology-driven care solutions.
The startup claims to have addressed over 1.5 million queries with an average response time of under two minutes, providing parents with timely, reliable, and personalized medical advice.
“We are aiming to tackle critical gaps in pediatric care by providing accessible, affordable, and proactive solutions that empower parents to make informed decisions for their children’s health,” said Dr Sumitra Meena.
Babynama plans to utilize the newly raised funds to enhance its technology infrastructure, expand its team of pediatricians and support staff, and strengthen its marketing efforts.
The platform is also focused on growing its customer base and broadening its service offerings.
“This initial funding round is an immense validator and kickstarts our mission to create a world where every child and mother’s health journey is smooth and stress-free,” added Dr Meena.
Since its inception, Babynama claims to have supported nearly 200,000 parents, helping them identify early signs of serious conditions such as respiratory distress, epilepsy, autism, and ADHD. The platform has converted over 10,000 parents into paying customers.
Looking ahead, Babynama plans to introduce third-trimester care programs, developmental initiatives, and interactive workshops to further support parents in navigating their child’s health journey.
