Amit Shah Inaugurates INR 400 Cr Artemis Shanti Hospital in Raipur with 350 Beds & 11 Centres of Excellence
The facility has also outlined plans for advanced imaging and diagnostic systems, modular operating theatres and intensive care monitoring infrastructure.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has inaugurated Artemis Shanti Hospital Raipur in Chhattisgarh, an INR 400 Cr, 350-bed super-speciality facility equipped with 11 Centres of Excellence and advanced robotic surgery technology.
The inauguration marks a key step in expanding advanced healthcare infrastructure in Chhattisgarh. Artemis Hospitals had earlier announced the opening of Artemis Shanti Hospital in Raipur, marking the healthcare network's entry into the state and bringing its Gurugram-based expertise to the region.
In a post on X, Shah highlighted the hospital's investment and its potential contribution to regional healthcare delivery.
"This super-speciality hospital, equipped with modern facilities and technology, featuring 350 beds and 11 Centres of Excellence, will provide tertiary-level healthcare services to the entire Central India," Union Home Minister Amit Shah said.
The hospital's advanced robotic surgery facilities are intended to support precision-based procedures and specialised surgical care.
Robotic-assisted surgery allows surgeons to control instruments designed for specific procedures, with potential benefits varying according to the clinical indication, technology used and expertise of the surgical team.
Artemis Shanti Hospital Raipur has identified several key specialities for its Centres of Excellence, including emergency and trauma care, cardiology and cardiac services, oncology, neurosciences, orthopaedics and joint replacement, minimally invasive surgery, women's and children's healthcare, critical care, gastrosciences, renal care and transplant services.
The facility has also outlined plans for advanced imaging and diagnostic systems, modular operating theatres and intensive care monitoring infrastructure.
The hospital's proposed digitally enabled patient services aim to improve convenience, streamline consultations and support coordination between departments.
Such systems can help hospitals manage patient journeys more efficiently when integrated into clinical workflows and supported by appropriate infrastructure.
The expansion could offer patients in Chhattisgarh and neighbouring areas greater access to specialised treatment within the region.
