Yogi Govt to Roll Out New Health Policy, Plans World-Class Hospitals in Every UP District

The five-year policy blueprint will encourage public-private partnerships to set up advanced medical facilities in both cities and rural areas.
In a major push to overhaul Uttar Pradesh’s healthcare infrastructure, the Yogi Adityanath government is set to introduce a new health policy aimed at attracting private investment.
As per reports, the UP CM aims to establish super-specialty hospitals across the state.
The five-year policy blueprint will encourage public-private partnerships to set up advanced medical facilities in both cities and rural areas.
Chief Minister Adityanath, after a high-level meeting with health officials, directed them to finalist the policy framework and ensure it meets global standards.
“Our goal is not just to provide treatment but to ensure a better quality of life for every citizen,” the CM said.
“Access to affordable and quality healthcare is a government priority. To achieve this, we are bringing the private sector on board to encourage innovation, investment, and inclusivity in healthcare.”
The new policy will establish three healthcare models:
Model A: In 17 municipal areas, at least three 200-bed super-specialty hospitals per city.
Model B: In 57 district HQs, 200-bed advanced hospitals.
Model C: In all 75 districts, 100-bed hospitals in rural and backward regions.
Additionally, the government will offer major incentives like 100% stamp duty exemption, discounted land rates, fast-track clearances, and priority utilities for investors.
The move also seeks to increase local job opportunities, with hospitals required to prioritize recruitment from within the local community.
Reportedly, the policy draft is ready and will be presented in the Cabinet soon.
The CM has further directed that land allocation for hospitals in at least 20 districts must begin within the next three months.
