The initiative was approved during a recent cabinet meeting chaired by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The project is aimed at strengthening the state’s healthcare infrastructure and enhancing access to specialised treatment.

As per the state’s finance minister, Suresh Kumar Khanna, the state government has approved an allocation of approximately INR 855 crore 4 lakh 34 thousand for the project.

The planned infrastructure includes a state-of-the-art emergency centre equipped with advanced medical facilities to support critical and specialised care services.

The latest initiative aligns with the state’s government healthcare expansion commitment announced during the financial year 2026-27 budget.

The budget outlined major spending in healthcare, including INR 1,023 crore proposed for opening 14 new medical colleges in the state to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and education.

In a recent development, the state government proposed an investment of INR 2,000 crore in the pharma and metech sectors.

As a part of the initiative, CM Yogi Adityanath distributed letters of comfort to pharma investors to catalyse sectoral growth and industrial development.
