UP Gov Explores Global Investment Opportunities in Pharma, Medical Devices & Other Sectors

The UP CM highlighted the Noida International Airport and the pharmaceutical and bulk drug parks being developed in Bundelkhand and Lalitpur as major areas of investment.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently met with delegates from Russia, Vietnam, Belarus, Japan, Singapore, and other partner countries to discuss business opportunities and strengthen the state’s industrial capabilities across sectors.

During the interaction, CM Yogi Adityanath discussed investment and business opportunities in Uttar Pradesh across key sectors, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, aviation, the state’s defence, agriculture, and manufacturing

He highlighted the Noida International Airport and the pharmaceutical and bulk drug parks being developed in Bundelkhand and Lalitpur as major areas of investment.

“The medical devices park near Noida airport offers opportunities for investment as well as setting up research and development centres,” the CM said.

Uttar Pradesh is developing the 350-acre Medical Device Park close to the upcoming Noida International Airport.

The park is aimed at attracting medical-device, diagnostics, and precision-engineering manufacturers and includes common testing infrastructure

In a parallel development, Russia-based DNA Technology, a medical diagnostics manufacturer, is reportedly in advanced discussions to set up its first overseas manufacturing unit in Uttar Pradesh’s Medical Device Park.

Additionally, he invited Russian investment companies to set up defence units in Kanpur.

The CM also met with Japan's Ambassador to India, Ono Keiichi, and JETRO India Chief Director General Daisaku Yukita.

The discussions focused on economic cooperation, investment promotion, and strengthening bilateral ties between Japan and Uttar Pradesh.

The Chief Minister also held discussions with a Singapore delegation led by Singapore's High Commissioner to India, Simon Wong Wie Kuen. The delegation included leading investors and discussed efforts to strengthen Uttar Pradesh-Singapore ties.

Further, CM Adityanath also invited Belarusian companies to establish technical institutions focused on heavy technology and train the state's youth.

The latest development builds on Uttar Pradesh's efforts to attract international investment and manufacturing partnerships across major sectors including pharma and medtech.

In an earlier development, the state government held discussions with the US delegation to advance India-US Cooperation in healthcare and pharma, life sciences, and other sectors.

As part of the collaboration, an MoU was signed between Uttar Pradesh Promote Pharma Council (UPPPC), the IACC, and the Uttar Pradesh Government.

The MoU is intended to establish a structured framework to promote investment and collaboration in Uttar Pradesh’s healthcare and life sciences sectors, including investment facilitation, technology transfer, R&D, manufacturing, public–private partnerships, and government-industry engagement.
