Samsung Electronics has announced a major update to the Samsung Health app, introducing a suite of AI-powered health features designed for the upcoming Galaxy Watch lineup to be a proactive, intelligent health partner.

The latest update is designed to simplify daily health tracking by converting complex biometric data into clear, actionable insights.

It is intended to provide an AI-driven health platform that continuously analyzes user activity, sleep, and body signals to provide more structured wellness information.

The Samsung Health update comes with the following features, including the Vitals feature designed to analyze five key overnight bio-signals, heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen, against their true resting baseline.

The system notifies users only when it detects significant deviations, helping them to determine illness, fatigue, or the need for recovery.

In addition, the company has introduced the Heart Health Score, an update of the earlier Vascular Load feature.

It combines metrics from Sleep data, Stress levels, Activity patterns, and body composition data to generate a unified score.

This approach is expected to enable users to identify the habits impacting their long-term well-being and factors affecting cardiovascular health.

Another notable addition includes the Daily Cardio Load feature, designed to measure cardiovascular strain during aerobic activity.

By comparing daily exertion with maximum training capacity, the tool recommends training intensity levels, rest requirements, and recovery timing, which is expected to support users in optimizing their performance.

Further, the new features also include Fitness Index, which ensures exercise routines are working by analyzing metrics like heart rate, VO2 max (a key measure of aerobic fitness), and daily steps against users’ peers.

The latest features are aimed at delivering tailored content and personalized goals for users to make continuous, targeted improvements.

The redesigned home screen now integrates daily wellness insights with an AI-powered Energy Score, providing a unified view of overall health in one place.

Additional enhancements also include an updated Antioxidant Index, which provides trend charts, daily history tracking, and improved mapping of dietary and physical responses. This feature is expected to help users understand their overall health patterns.

Further, the enhanced AGEs index runs automatically in the background during sleep. It captures overnight measurements to build long-term insights into how lifestyle habits accumulate in the body over time.

Furthermore, Samsung has also expanded its wellness offering with the Hearing Health feature. The tool leverages Galaxy Watch sensors to monitor ambient noise levels and provides personalized insights to help users protect their hearing in environments such as loud commutes, high-volume workouts, and urban surroundings.

The latest features are seamlessly integrated into Samsung’s health ecosystem across users’ Galaxy mobile phones and connected devices.

This integration is expected to support users with access to consistent health insights across devices while the system continuously refines recommendations based on collected data.

Reportedly, the latest Samsung Health update is expected to be available from June 8th, while the full AI-powered health capabilities are set to debut with the next-generation Galaxy Watch lineup.
