Orange Health Labs Targets Deeper Expansion Across Top 15–20 Indian Cities
The company, which said it has grown 10 times over the past four years, currently operates around 90 stores across the country.
Bengaluru-based diagnostics startup Orange Health Labs plans to deepen its presence across India’s top 15–20 cities, expand its store network to around 200 locations by the end of 2026 and strengthen its focus on profitability.
The company, which said it has grown 10 times over the past four years, currently operates around 90 stores across the country. It said it is already operationally profitable across the cities where it operates and expects the overall business to reach operational profitability in the near term.
“We are one of the few companies in the world of quick commerce or quick service that, in four years of existence, has become operationally profitable across cities. Our business will fund its own growth within the next 18 months,” said Tarun Bhambra, Co-founder, Orange Health Labs.
Rather than rapidly entering new markets, Orange Health Labs plans to increase its presence in existing markets before expanding into a wider set of cities. The company is prioritising urban markets where consumers are already accustomed to using digital platforms for food, household services and other on-demand offerings.
Bengaluru remains a key growth market for the company. Orange Health Labs estimates that it currently has around 8% market share in the city and is targeting approximately 10% by the end of the financial year.
The company said its recent $30 million investment is being deployed primarily toward capital expenditure and capability building, including advanced testing equipment, retail expansion, and technology and product development.
Orange Health Labs is also expanding its digital health platform, with plans to develop a digital representation of an individual’s health history and track changes over time. The company said the platform will support its focus on health measurement rather than aggressive expansion into treatment.
Pathology, preventive diagnostics, genetic testing and technology-led health monitoring will remain central to the company’s growth strategy as it expands across its existing and targeted markets.
