Luxid Tech Enters India’s Hospital Technology Market with VueAR Glass

Luxid Tech has launched its VueAR Glass in India, entering the country’s hospital technology market with an augmented reality solution aimed at improving patient counselling and supporting nursing workflows.

VueAR Glass is designed around two applications, including helping patients understand complex medical procedures and providing nursing teams with easier access to relevant information during routine care.

Siddhant Aggarwal, Founder, Luxid Tech, said hospitals adopt technology when it delivers practical value. 

“We built the VueAR software development kit so each hospital can create its own counselling modules and data views for the exact procedures and wards that cost them the most time and staff.” 

For pre-surgery counselling, the device allows hospitals to create customised three-dimensional visual modules for different procedures. Patients can use the glasses to view representations of surgical procedures, explore anatomy, and understand treatment stages from multiple perspectives.

The content can also be paused and revisited, allowing patients and their families to process information at their own pace. Doctors and counsellors continue to conduct discussions and informed consent procedures, with the technology intended to supplement rather than replace clinical communication.

The company is also targeting intensive care units, where nurses routinely monitor multiple vital parameters, including heart rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure.

VueAR Glass is designed to display selected patient information and alerts within a nurse’s field of view while moving through a ward. According to the company, this could reduce unnecessary movement between beds, fixed monitors, and workstations, while providing more convenient access to relevant information.

The system is intended to work alongside existing hospital systems, bedside assessments, and clinical judgment rather than replace healthcare professionals.

 Further, the device is designed for both patient counselling and professional use. It supports three-dimensional content and can connect with digital systems. Its VueAR software development kit (SDK) allows hospitals and technology partners to build customised counselling modules and data views for specific procedures, departments and workflows.

With its India launch, Luxid Tech plans to work with hospitals and healthcare institutions to develop augmented reality applications spanning patient communication, clinical workflows and hospital operations.
