ESIC Launches Revamped “ESIC Health Connect” Mobile App to Strengthen Digital Healthcare Access

The revamped ESIC Health Connect app allows users to schedule, reschedule, or cancel outpatient department appointments at designated ESIC dispensaries and hospitals.

The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has launched a revamped version of its AAA+ mobile application, now called “ESIC Health Connect,” to improve digital access to healthcare and administrative services for insured persons, beneficiaries, employees, and pensioners across the country.

This launch builds on ESIC’s broader digital transformation agenda, which focuses on improving accessibility, transparency, and efficiency in the delivery of social security and healthcare benefits.

The revamped ESIC Health Connect app is intended for insured persons, their eligible family members, ESIC staff, and pensioners. It allows users to schedule, reschedule, or cancel outpatient department appointments at designated ESIC dispensaries and hospitals.

Appointments can be booked using an Insurance Number or Employee Number along with a registered mobile number. Once an appointment is confirmed, a booking reference number is sent to the user’s mobile phone, which must be produced at the registration counter or before the doctor to access priority services.

Beyond appointment management, the app supports services such as Aadhaar seeding, access to e-health records, and home sample collection, offering users a consolidated digital platform for routine healthcare interactions.

A new feedback feature has also been introduced, enabling users to share their experiences and report issues with app usage. At present, the app content is available in both Hindi and English to ensure wider usability.

Authorities have also requested that the app be highlighted during health camps, awareness programmes, and joint outreach activities. User manuals for insured persons, ESIC employees, and pensioners have been issued to guide users through the app’s features.

ESIC, a statutory body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, provides medical and cash benefits to employees earning up to INR 21,000 per month, or INR 25,000 in the case of persons with disabilities, through a contributory social insurance model.

By expanding digital access to medical benefits, sickness benefits, maternity support, disablement compensation, and other statutory entitlements, ESIC Health Connect reflects the organisation’s effort to align social security delivery with evolving digital expectations.
