By providing teleconsultation services to more than ten crore beneficiaries, the government's free telemedicine service e-Sanjeevani has reached yet another milestone. A doctor-to-doctor telemedicine service, the eSanjeevani Ayushman Bharat - Health and Wellness Centre, provides general and specialized health services in rural areas. It empowers virtual association between the recipient at Wellness Centers and doctor and specialist at the hub.

In light of this news, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that the progress of the application is a living illustration of how the people of India have included technology as a part of their lives. PM Modi stated on the 98th episode of Mann Ki Baat, his monthly radio program, that digital platforms like e-Sanjeevani are proving to be a lifesaver for many.

'œe-Sanjeevani is becoming a life-saving app for the common man of the country, for the middle class, for the people living in hilly areas. This is the power of India's digital revolution.' '“ PM Modi

According to Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the union health minister, over 57% of e-Sanjeevani beneficiaries are women, and approximately 12% are senior citizens.

e-Sanjeevani is the world's biggest telemedicine execution in the primary medical care. In November 2019, e-Sanjeevani went live with the goal of providing high-quality healthcare to people who live in the most remote areas.
