The program provides IBS patients with personalized care, diet management, psychological support, and physical wellness activities.

Dr Reddy's Laboratories has introduced its condition management program, DailyBloom TM IBS, designed specifically for individuals suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

This initiative is in line with the company's efforts to enhance healthcare and cater to the requirements of patients with chronic conditions.

Sharing thoughts, MV Ramana, CEO, Branded Markets (India and Emerging Markets), Dr Reddy's, said, "Our initiative is India's first integrated care plan for IBS. We have drawn on our three-decade old market leadership in the gastrointestinal (GI) segment consisting of trusted and established oral drug brands such as Omez, Razo, Econorm, and Redotil. We are therefore happy to offer an integrated care approach to this GI condition that aims to enhance standard of care in keeping with our purpose of 'Good Health Can't Wait'."

Brief About DailyBloom IBS Program

DailyBloom IBS is an integrated care plan that offers a holistic approach to managing IBS. Per the company, it is based on extensive research and incorporates a mobile application developed in-house by Dr Reddy's.

The program is focused on providing patients with personalized care, including diet management, psychological support, and physical wellness activities.

The launch of DailyBloom IBS coincides with World IBS Day on April 19th, an international event dedicated to raising awareness about Irritable Bowel Syndrome and addressing the misconceptions and stigma associated with the condition.

IBS is a functional gastrointestinal disorder characterized by symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, and altered bowel habits. It significantly impacts the quality of life of patients and poses economic burdens on society.

Addressing the Burden of IBS in India

In India, approximately 7% of the population suffers from IBS, making it a prevalent health concern. The condition is often accompanied by psychological and somatoform comorbidities, further exacerbating the burden on patients.

Recognizing the need for a comprehensive approach to managing IBS, Dr Reddy's has developed DailyBloom IBS to provide patients with adequate care and support.

DailyBloom IBS offers a 14-week care plan tailored to each patient's individual needs.

The journey begins with an initial assessment, the DailyBloom Gut Health Index, which captures the frequency of symptoms and their impact on the patient's quality of life.

Subsequently, patients participate in goal-setting sessions to further personalize their care pathway, ensuring alignment with their health goals and lifestyle preferences.

Throughout the 14-week program, patients receive over 16 consultations from a team of certified nutritionists, psychologists, and care managers. Additionally, they have access to unlimited chat support from the care team, providing them with continuous guidance and assistance.

The program also includes access to over 500 gut-friendly recipes based on Indian cuisine to aid in managing the condition successfully.

Dr Reddy's aims to bridge the gap in the effective management of IBS by offering patients seamless access to integrated care through DailyBloom IBS.

Research & Development Process

The company suggests that DailyBloom IBS results from rigorous research conducted over 12 months, involving consultations with multi-disciplinary experts, patients, and gastroenterologists.

The development process included extensive immersion sessions, observations, and identification of pain points associated with IBS. The preliminary user experience has garnered a highly positive response, indicating the potential impact of the program on patients' lives.

Dr Reddy's shares their strategic approach to healthcare innovation encompassing three pillars: access to novel molecules, consumer health, and digital therapeutics.

DailyBloom IBS aligns with the company's goal of meeting unmet patient needs and enhancing the standard of care.

By providing patients with personalized care and comprehensive support, the program aims to enhance the standard of care for this chronic condition.
