The startup plans to extend its platform into pathology, genomics, and general medicine, with a long-term vision of becoming the integration and governance layer for clinical AI across healthcare systems.

CARPL.ai, a California-based healthtech startup, has secured $10 Mn in a Series A funding round led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), with participation from existing investor Stellaris Venture Partners and other investors.

The fresh investment will help the vendor-neutral radiology AI platform and marketplace enhance its AI platform, expand its international operations, and support wider adoption of medical imaging AI across healthcare organizations.

The latest funding follows the startup’s earlier $6 Mn round in 2023, which was backed by Stellaris Venture Partners and angel investors.

Founded by Dr. Vidur Mahajan, CARPL.ai has built a vendor-neutral platform that allows hospitals and radiology departments to discover, integrate, deploy, manage, and monitor multiple medical imaging AI applications through a single interface.

Instead of adopting individual AI tools separately, healthcare providers can access a centralized marketplace that simplifies implementation and governance.

CARPL.ai provides a unified platform that currently hosts more than 300 AI applications from over 100 AI partners, enabling healthcare organizations to integrate AI into clinical workflows without being tied to a specific vendor or infrastructure.

"Our mission is to ensure that clinicians can confidently utilize the absolute best AI technology available for their patients. Over the past few years, we have built the world's largest radiology AI marketplace, integrated deeply with leading enterprise PACS providers, and earned the trust of some of the largest healthcare enterprises across the globe, who rely on us as their partner in their AI and automation journeys. We are privileged to have International Finance Corporation as a partner as we grow across the world," said Dr. Vidur Mahajan, Chief Executive Officer of CARPL.ai.

The startup has established partnerships with leading PACS providers and currently serves healthcare organizations across North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia, and Australia.

Its customers include the Singapore Government, RadNet, I-MED Radiology, Fleury, Medica, and the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) in India.

The platform is also being used by governments in Brazil, Spain, Singapore, the UAE, and India as part of broader digital health initiatives.

Looking beyond radiology, the startup plans to extend its platform into pathology, genomics, and general medicine, with a long-term vision of becoming the integration and governance layer for clinical AI across healthcare systems.
