Veeva Systems, Amgen Partner to Streamline Clinical Trial Processes

Veeva Systems has announced a collaboration with Amgen to drive efficiencies in clinical trial operations.

Amgen, a global biotechnology company, will use the Veeva Clinical Platform as part of the partnership.

The Veeva Clinical Platform provides an end-to-end system that integrates clinical operations and data applications. It includes tools such as CTMS, EDC, Clinical Workbench (CDB), RTSM, eCOA, eTMF, Site Connect, and Study Training. According to Veeva, these connected applications are designed to support trials from start-up to close by automating workflows and streamlining data flow.

As part of the collaboration, Veeva Business Consulting will support Amgen with implementation and change management. The companies expect this partnership to simplify processes across Amgen’s clinical trial portfolio.

“In collaboration with Veeva, we’re leveraging advanced technology to unlock new capabilities for our end-to-end trial operations, which are expected to further strengthen our ability to bring innovative treatments to patients with speed and scale,” said Scott Skellenger, senior vice president and chief information officer at Amgen.

The announcement highlights how the companies plan to work together on improving trial operations through connected technology and process alignment.
