Union Budget 2026–27: Call for a Predictable, Atmanirbhar Policy Framework for the MedTech Industry

As India approaches the Union Budget 2026–27, the medical devices and HealthTech industry finds itself at a pivotal inflection point. Over the past few years, the sector has transitioned from being largely import-dependent to one that is steadily building domestic manufacturing, innovation, and export capabilities. Yet, this momentum remains fragile, and from the Indian MedTech Industry, we urge the government to use the forthcoming Budget to consolidate gains under Atmanirbhar Bharat & the China+1 momentum, align fiscal policy with India’s expanding Free Trade Agreement (FTA) footprints, and position the country as a globally preferred hub for medical devices and digital health partnerships.
