This new system aims to streamline healthcare processes, including consultation, surgery support, post-discharge care, and financial assistance.

Tulu Health, a healthtech and fintech startup founded by AIIMS, IIT, and Stanford University professionals, has launched India’s first AI Agent Platform designed to address various healthcare needs.

The platform intends to support hospitals and patients by offering modular AI agents that can be accessed through commonly used tools such as WhatsApp and hospital websites.

This new system aims to streamline healthcare processes, including consultation, surgery support, post-discharge care, and financial assistance. It is expected to assist over 10 million patients over the next three years.

Platform Features & Accessibility

The AI agents are designed to work without requiring users to install additional applications. Patients can receive healthcare assistance directly through familiar channels.

The system supports multiple languages and is optimized for mobile devices to ensure accessibility for users with different levels of digital literacy.

Tulu Health’s patient-side tools include voice-enabled AI agents, real-time support for treatment decisions, and access to financial options. A notable feature is a cashless system for pre- and post-hospitalization care, which is available for up to 180 days.

The platform uses generative AI, predictive modeling, and natural language processing on the backend for tasks such as document interpretation and health pattern analysis.

These technologies have been developed in-house, with additional integration from global AI providers, including OpenAI and Anthropic.

Tulu Health provides hospitals with white-labeled AI agents that can integrate with existing EHR, CRM, and ERP systems. These agents assist in automating workflows and delivering customized patient care experiences.

Industry Collaboration & Strategic Goals

Dr. Adil, founder of Tulu Health, said the platform was built to address ongoing challenges such as inconsistent care, limited follow-up support, and high out-of-pocket costs.

“Tulu is intended to help bridge gaps in healthcare delivery by aligning technology with everyday patient and hospital needs,” he said.

Akif, Advisor at Tulu Health, who previously helped build Innovaccer into one of the world’s most successful healthtech companies, said, “Tulu Health’s white-labeled AI agents plug directly into hospital systems such as EHR, CRM, ERP and WhatsApp accounts, delivering branded care journeys and automating workflows like never before. The vision to monetize the agents built in partnership with hospitals through the marketplace will be a breakthrough. It's not just smart tech—it’s human-centered design at scale.”

Dr. Vijay Agarwal, President of the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations, noted that Tulu Health collaborated on an AI-powered pre-surgery consent and education tool. He emphasized the platform’s alignment with clinical needs and usability.
