PM Directs States to Boost Health Infra Under PM-ABHIM

PM Modi described PM-ABHIM as a ‘golden opportunity’ for states, highlighting its focus on diagnostics, critical care, and healthcare workforce training.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed states to fast-track healthcare infrastructure in remote districts and called for a result-oriented approach to emergency services and development under Prime Minister–Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM).
Presiding over the 48th meeting of PRAGATI, a ICT-enabled multi-level governance platform, PM Modi highlighted India’s need for sustained improvements in public healthcare.
Sharing the details about the PRAGATI session, PM Modi shared in a post, “Reiterated the need for timely completion of projects. Also discussed aspects relating to the Prime Minister-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission and the need to further improve health infrastructure in aspirational districts, tribal and border areas.”
Launched on February 1, 2021, PM-ABHIM mission focuses on strengthening India’s healthcare infrastructure and improving preparedness for pandemics and public health emergencies.
