NABH, Quality Council of India Appoints Dr. Parag R. Rindani as the CEO
In his new role, Dr. Rindani will focus on advancing patient safety and quality healthcare at the grassroots level
India’s apex body for healthcare quality assessment and accreditation, the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare (NABH) under the Quality Council of India(QCI), has appointed Dr. Parag R. Rindani as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
In his new role, Dr. Rindani will focus on advancing principles of patient safety and quality healthcare at the grassroots level while making quality and safe care more accessible nationwide.
As part of his new role, Dr. Rindani is expected to work alongside the teams at the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare (NABH) and the Quality Council of India (QCI) to support NABH’s initiatives aimed at advancing healthcare quality, safety, and trust in Indian healthcare.
Commenting on his appointment, Dr Parag Rindani, CEO of NABH, said, “ A new chapter begins, and I am truly excited to join National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare (NABH) Quality Council of India(QCI). For me, this is more than a new role; it is an opportunity to contribute to a national cause: taking the principles of patient safety and quality healthcare to the grassroots, and helping make safe, quality care accessible to every citizen.”
Dr. Parag Rindani brings more than three decades of experience in the healthcare sector, spanning hospital leadership, administration, clinical strategy, quality management, and accreditation, with leadership experience at leading hospitals including Wockhardt and Sterling Hospitals.
At Wockhardt Hospitals, he served as the CEO, leading the operations, hospital administration, business management, and clinical strategy.
He also served as the Vice President and Regional Head of Wockhardt, where his responsibilities included hospital leadership, profit and loss management, Consultant management, clinical programme and academic development, as well as quality and accreditation.
In addition to serving in various leadership roles at Wockhardt Hospitals, Dr. Rindani also worked as the Corporate Head, Medical Services of Sterling Hospitals, where he oversaw medical services, administration and academics, nursing services, quality and accreditation.

NABH, part of the Quality Council of India, is responsible for establishing national standards and accreditation frameworks for hospitals and healthcare providers.
The new appointment is expected to further strengthen NABH’s vision to strengthen quality standards and patient safety.
